Right down the street from where our reception will be, we had our very first date at C.J. Barrymore’s. It was full of laughter, rides, and nerves—but the magic moment came at the very top of the Ferris wheel, where we shared our first kiss.

The next weekend Andrew invited Shelby to spend the day out on the lake. The minute she saw him wakeboarding and tossing flips like it was nothing, she knew this guy wasn’t just impressive, he reminded her of her Dad. That was the moment Shelby realized Andrew was someone truly special.

Andrew told Shelby to get ready for a surprise date—but she had no idea just how special the day would be. He pulled up in the 2018 Mustang and drove her to the Waterford Airport, where his best friend Tom was waiting… next to their plane- The Mooney. Tom flew them to Grand Rapids, where they had dinner at San Chez A Tapas Bistro. There, Andrew asked Shelby to be his girlfriend—and of course, she said yes.

From that moment on, Shelby was all in—doing her best to keep up with Andrew’s adrenaline spirit. With the greatest coach in the world by her side, she learned to snowboard, skateboard, golf, wakeboard and even picked up a thing or two about cars. But more than anything, she learned how to slow down, soak it all in, and love life the way Andrew does—fully, fearlessly, and with a whole lot of fun.

Together, Andrew and Shelby have already explored 8 states—including magical getaways to Disney World and adventures in Park City. They can best be described as always on the go—running to the next thing, skipping routines, and thriving on spontaneity. Whether it’s planning a party just hours before it starts or hopping on a last-minute flight, these two are always chasing the next memory… and usually turning it into a friendly competition. They’re lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends, who they see regularly and love deeply. Their life is full of movement, laughter, and love—and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
